Born and raised on the farm, Cate is continuously transforming the agricultural land into a flower haven. Inspired by the seasons and the way plants grow, Field Flowers is passionate about seasonality, sustainability and British grown cut flowers. Everything on the farm is grown in rhythm with nature using organic and ethical practices, it is bee friendly and chemical free.
From a background in TV/film and floristry in the Netherlands, Cate was increasingly saddened and horrified by the carbon footprint these industries were creating, with little care or consideration for our environment and the long term impacts on it. Cate decided to head back to her roots and move home to set up her own flower farm, working the land by embracing sustainable and organic practices. The UK has such wonderful flowers, we just need more of them. Field Flowers was created to promote British flower production and consumption for the company’s use and for local florists. Cate is passionate about seasonality and encouraging people to buy local so, Field Flowers supports the British flower farming community and is taking an active role in helping the industry become more sustainable.
